Collaborate with Sales, Tax and Legal teams to drive commercial performance:

Our client, a €900m turnover multinational business who are merging modern cloud and IT solutions with traditional technologies are seeking a commercially minded Senior Revenue Accountant at their Galway centre. Easily commutable from Roscommon, Mayo and Clare for the 2 days a week you need to be onsite, this company combines employee flexibility with continuous innovation.

While honing your technical accounting skills across entities in EMEA, Asia and PAC jurisdictions in compliance with US GAAP ASC 606 and SOX requirements, you will go beyond day-to-day technical accounting and advise on enterprise scale deals in partnership with Sales, Tax and Legal teams to maximise revenue return. Once established in your new job with a good grounding in revenue recognition guidelines and policies you will advise on how to migrate existing customers from individual product purchases to subscription based services while ensuring revenue streams are not interrupted along with advising on payment frequency and payment structure in multiple jurisdictions. Internal teams will rely on your commercial and technical knowledge during deal formation and contract revision making you a true commercial partner to the business. Working to a quarter-end close you will document and post revenue journals while adhering to SOX compliance with subsequent preparation and analysis of balance sheet accounts. Business leaders will rely on your management reports and forecasts after quarter-end in areas such as flux analysis and the revenue pipeline for subsequent quarters.

Being rewarded:

There is an excellent package of between €60,000-€80,000 inclusive of health insurance, a match plus 2% on your pension contributions e.g. 5% is matched and bettered to 7% by the company, annual bonus and 3 days working from home weekly. What will help you succeed:

In addition to being an ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant you will have multinational accounting or audit experience with exposure to revenue recognition. Good commercial acumen and an ability to work well with Sales, Legal and other teams will also set you apart.
