Company Growing 3-fold by 2026 – Manufacturing Sector – Commutable from County Galway, County Mayo or County Roscommon

My client is a $16bn global organisation spread across 30 countries, with almost 200 manufacturing facilities worldwide. Their Irish operation in County Galway is seeking a Senior Management Accountant to support the manufacturing operations of approximately 400 staff.

Your job as Senior Management Accountant / Industrial Controller

Working under the direction of the Finance Manager and the Site FC, you will have responsibility for the P&L of one product line which will account for 20% of the site revenue for next year. You will also prepare month end reporting for all materials related activity for the full site. This may include reporting & analysing material movements, standard costing, BOMs, stock counts and stock takes, supply chain costs, cost improvement plans & site investments.

Day-to-day tasks may include:

Preparation and analysis of daily/weekly indicators and monthly accounts for reporting, budgeting, business planning and forecasting.
Analyse the actual situation vs forecast and vs budget on the daily, weekly and monthly basis.
Ensure accuracy of management control and costing information in the ERP system of the site
Ensure reliability of site gross margin and site below gross margin expenses during closing process
Identify risks areas and report these risks to the Financial Controller
Manage E-procurement requests approvals

What you need for this exciting job:

To succeed in this job, you will bring a full accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) and experience in industry, ideally in inventory accounting, and a desire to progress rapidly in your career in a fast-paced multinational manufacturing environment.

Galway/Home Hybrid: The company envisage a 3 days onsite / 2 days at home arrangement, which may suit candidates travelling from Co Roscommon, County Mayo or any part of County Galway.
