This is an excellent job for a Newly Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) from industry or a practice trained accountant looking to move into industry for the first time.

Reporting to the Finance Manager on a team of 8 accountants, you will gain hands-on experience in monthly close, monthly P&L analysis and BS reconciliations for multiple manufacturing entities in a global life-sciences company, with c$500m in revenue in Ireland.

Your new job will include:

Support to the Finance Manager by extracting, analysing and reporting accurate information as it relates to monthly transactions
Complete reconciliations and analytical comparisons to ensure accuracy of data
Support month end close processes and activities
Liaising with the business and third parties to obtain relevant information for accounting transactions
Maintain controls in Financial Processes

Location & Duration: This is a 12 month contract, commutable from Galway, Roscommon, Westmeath, Meath, Longford & Offaly. However, the company are also open to you working remotely (work-from-home 5 days a week) during the 12 month period.

What you will bring to the job:

An accounting qualification: ACA, CIMA, ACCA (Suits an Accountant with 0-5 years PQE)
Strong Excel skills – Advanced knowledge of Excel essential. Experience with or exposure to a large ERP system is beneficial, but not essential (SAP, ORACLE, etc)
