Work with one of the top employers in the heart of Ireland
An internationally renowned MedTech company based in Westmeath is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to work on an innovative cross-functional programme with significant Senior Leadership Team exposure. Commutable from Roscommon, Galway, Offaly, Longford, Meath and Kildare, you can develop a long-term career in a multinational company whether you have an industry or practice based background.
The value you will bring
This Senior Financial Analyst job will see you collaborate with department heads and senior managers from a cross-section of the business including Regulatory, Quality Control and Operations as you collectively deliver a major regulatory programme to multiple product lines. For this multi-million euro budget programme you will create the annual budget with quarterly checkpoints and conduct monthly variance analysis. You will provide management reports on current vs. previous year actuals as well as reports on key expenditure areas such as manpower hours dedicated to the programme, vendor expenditure such as external auditor costs and technical writers along with obsolescence. In advance of month-end deadlines you will post up to 10 programme related journals ensuring costs are assigned to the correct product families. Outside the pre and post month-end cycle you will be the trusted financial partner to senior leaders who work on the programme from other departments, regularly providing forecasts and financial scenarios for planned next steps within the programme while acting as the main point of contact for budgetary queries. As you can see, your exposure over this 20 month initial contract is extensive and leaves you well placed to secure a permanent position which is the expressed aim of the hiring manager for this job.
Hit the ground running
You will report to an experienced Senior Finance Manager who initiated this project in 2019 giving you a full knowledge bank to draw on. The current post-holder has been promoted but will remain in the same office as you so you will receive a full handover and have access to them on an ongoing basis. The Financial Director is known for their mentorship which has fostered a culture of internal career progression within the Finance department and with an overall Finance team of 30 qualified accountants, opportunities arise frequently which will likely see this 20 month contract extended or made permanent.
Skills and experience that will help
Combining strong financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting abilities with both commercial awareness and stakeholder management skills is what will help you succeed in this job, you can demonstrate these skills as either a Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or as a Part-Qualified Accountant. Excellent MS Excel skills are a must and previous experience working with finance modules of a major ERP system such as SAP will be very beneficial.
Your rewards
On offer is a remuneration package of €55,000-€65,000 inclusive of base salary, health insurance, company pension contributions with generous annual leave and the option to work from home 2 days per week. With a large Finance department opportunities to secure permanent employment with this company will emerge once you establish yourself within this position.
