Deliver financial insights to drive the sustainability agenda

This Senior Financial Analyst job with our Galway manufacturing client is like no other – they are redesigning their global supply chain network in line with their sustainability agenda and they need you to provide insightful financial forecasts and reporting as they change the way they bring products to customers. Within commuting distance of Mayo, Roscommon and Clare, our multi-billion dollar client is laying the foundations for future decades of growth through this CEO-sponsored initiative. This permanent job suits a Qualified Accountant with a natural flair for finance business partnering.

Be part of something different

While already a major player on the world stage, this company has strategically identified that their future growth lies within emerging markets such as APAC and to annex the opportunities in these markets they are reimagining the product journey from the production line to their customers. Growing revenue in a sustainable manner and reducing their carbon footprint is a boardroom priority which is why they need you to bring your financial analysis, forecasting, reporting and controls experience to this initiative.

How will you contribute?

This cross-functional team will rely on you to provide financial analysis and forecasts on the impact of proposed changes to their supply chain network, whether that’s the cost savings brought about by creating efficiencies in their distribution paths from factory to customer, or their desire to transport freight by sea rather than by air to reduce their carbon footprint. Part of a $900m business, the air to sea initiative will be your first priority, where you will track and report on a €50m budget spend over 2 years and also report on cost savings from this transition, both from a financial and sustainability point of view.  The impact of the initiatives you drive feed into mainstream Standard Costing and Operations Finance reporting, which you will complete and be the link for with the Operations Finance team. You will maintain control systems that comply with internal procedures, SOX and GAAP. There will be a series of dynamic projects where you can bring significant commerciality when partnering with VPs, Directors and Senior Leaders across departments such as Supply Chain, Warehousing and Manufacturing giving you an insight into the operations of the business.

What will you need to succeed?

To become the Senior Financial Analyst for this team you will need a recognised accountancy qualification such as ACA/ACCA/CIMA with 3+ years’ PQE in an analytical capacity so you can bring your forecasting, analysis and reporting skills to the fore. An ability to work with a non-finance team and distil financial information into understandable and actionable data will help you bring value. Demonstrated experience of working in a multinational company along with internal controls capabilities is also highly beneficial.

What will you get in return?

You will receive a competitive remuneration package of between €70,000-€80,000 including base salary, annual bonus, up to 8% company pension contributions, a 4.5 day working week with a half day on Fridays to encourage work-life harmony with hybrid working also on offer. This initiative has significant internal company visibility all the way to board level giving you an elevated platform and the scope to build your reputation across the business.
