Remuneration Package:

As well as being offered a highly influential job in a world-leading organisation, you will be offered an Executive Level package of €150,000-€170,000, comprising of a significant base salary, bonus, car allowance, contributory pension, healthcare insurance and other benefits associated with a Finance Leader role in a multinational company.

Your new Job:

Entitled internally “Senior Finance Manager”, your new job is Second-in-Command to the Manufacturing Finance Director, with specific focus on the plant’s significant expansion & development plans ($100’s millions invested in last 10 years, headcount grown by 60%, further investment in greenfield sites for continued business growth).

Directly supporting a Business Area (BA) of 4-5 manufacturing units, you will act as the finance expert on this Business Area’s (BA) leadership team, partnering with the Manufacturing, Engineering & Quality Directors for this BA on all strategic, investment and scenario planning decisions. Your remit will include setting direction and leading a team of Senior Financial Analysts and Finance Managers who support the multiple Manufacturing Units and the site’s development and manufacturing expansion projects.

As a Senior Finance Manager in Galway, you will also develop the team to become Strategic Finance Business Partners for their respective Manufacturing Units within the organisation. You will manage, mentor and develop a team of three or more people and provide guidance and coaching to your team to enable them to reach their full potential. A key part of your role will be partnering with the Director of Production and Manufacturing Unit Management teams to set & achieve financial targets.

You will deliver effective management reporting and provide guidance to Senior Leaders on financial implications of business decisions and Investments. Implementation of appropriate financial processes to support a significant multi-year facilities investment program will play in your role and experience of project accounting will be essential as there is multiple projects rolling into the overall program. You will lead the 3 year strategic Financial Plan for the BA and partner with Senior FP&A Manager & Finance Director to deliver the annual budget; this will include setting standard costs for all products manufactured on site and support quarterly in-year forecast updates.

You will lead and implement Operational Excellence & Lean in Finance and maintain an effective & efficient control environment for all areas of responsibility. You will ensure 100% compliance with Corporate Policy, GAAP & SOX requirements and you will support all internal and external audit requirements.

To be successful in this job:

A highly regarded Finance Executive, (ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified) you will have proven experience in leading a Senior Finance Team of a global multi-million dollar organisation (10+ years), as well as FP&A expertise from a manufacturing environment.

As part of the leadership team on site, you will utilise your technical expertise in accounting, financial planning & analysis, decision support, controls & management reporting to offer strategic and commercial influence on the company’s future plans. From your experience in leading teams in multinational environments, you will have a proven ability to work and communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders on and off site.

Location: Galway/Home Hybrid: The company envisage a 50/50 on-site/work-from-home arrangement, which may suit candidates travelling from Co Mayo, Co Clare, Co Limerick, Co Westmeath or Co Roscommon, as well as all parts of County Galway.
