Your new job:

In this highly varied Finance Manager job, you will assist the Manager of Corporate Finance, Governance and Company Secretarial with financial modelling, research and analysis to support strategic decisions in this high-growth corporation. You will work closely with another Projects Accountant, the legal team, operations finance, HR, Senior Leadership and external tax advisors on a daily basis.

Leading some, and participating in others, the type of projects you will work on will include:

1. New company acquisitions (identifying target companies, prepare financial modelling & due diligence for presentation to senior leadership, and assist with negotiations with target companies)
2. International grant applications
3. International tax rebates & subsidies
4. Financial or tax implications of new company structures and reorganisations
5. International transfer pricing structures, models and maintenance
6. Scenario analysis and financial modelling to support decisions to potentially develop new manufacturing or warehouse facilities
7. Releasing finance or setting up new accounts with banks for new subsidiaries in emerging markets
8. Advising shareholders on their personal finances and investments decisions
9. Preparing shareholder taxes
10. Working with Big 4 Tax advisors to ensure tax compliance for each project (income tax, CGT and CAT), and to ensure changes to tax regulations are implemented within the group

Due to the nature of your new job there will be no month-end responsibilities, so if you enjoy financial analysis and project management but are tired of the month-end routine, this is an excellent job for you.

What you’ll need to succeed:

You will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, AITI, CTA) who loves a highly visible job with huge variety and autonomy.

You will confident, self-driven and logical, with proven skills in successfully managing corporate projects from start to finish, ideally in an international organisation. A background in practice is beneficial, but experience or qualifications in tax is not necessary. However a desire to work with external tax advisors and to acquire tax knowledge on your own initiative is a must.

Finally, to successfully manage a number of different projects at any one time, impeccable time management, prioritising and organisational skills are a must walking into this new role.
