One of Galway’s most renowned multinational companies is seeking a Payroll Specialist to work predominately on monthly payroll with excellent exposure to entities in 18 EMEA countries. Within commuting distance of Mayo, Clare and Roscommon, you will gain exposure to best practice payroll processes within a multinational shared services environment.

International payroll exposure

Working as part of a team of five Payroll Specialists reporting to the International Payroll Manager, this position will see you process end-to-end payroll across multiple EMEA countries including Ireland, Germany, France, Saudi Arabia and UAE giving well rounded exposure to payroll regulations and reporting in a variety of countries. While this position starts as a 12 month fixed term contract, it is desired by management that it will become a permanent position due to ongoing acquisitions and the growth of the company. With two fortnightly payroll runs for manufacturing staff and the majority of employees captured in monthly payroll runs for salaried staff, you will liaise with stakeholders from HR to Team Leaders to maintain accurate employee data and ensure timely payroll query resolution while also liaising with the outsourced international payroll provider who provides technical expertise and payroll processing. You will be responsible for bonus and commission calculations, payroll journal postings, reconciliations, tax filings and statutory payments with ongoing process improvements which you will contribute to.

Experience that will help you

To join this company as a Payroll Specialist – EMEA you will need previous experience with medium to high volume payroll along with excellent MS Excel skills including use of pivot tables and Vlookups.  It’s an advantage if you have international payroll experience and if you have worked with an outsourced payroll provider, however, this is not essential.

Rewards & Benefits

You will receive a generous remuneration package of between €50,000-€60,000 including an excellent base salary, health insurance, hybrid working of 2 days per week along with the strong possibility of this role being made permanent.
