Put your stamp on payroll strategy and processes across three Irish sites.

This Senior Payroll Manager job is with a multinational company with a long-established base in Galway. Within driving distance of Mayo, Roscommon and Clare, you will not only manage the day-to-day payroll operations for over 3,000 employees, you will also use your strategic skills to bring about changes in how payroll is managed across 3 Irish sites.

Lead an establish team managing Irish payroll

As the Senior Payroll Manager you and your team of Payroll Analysts will process weekly and monthly payroll for over 3,000 employees in Ireland. You will lead a team to complete all payroll computations such as shift premiums, BIK, health care and pension deductions and to complete month-end payroll activities including preparation of payroll journals, accruals, in-house and intercompany reconciliations. As the Senior Payroll Manager you will have freedom to re-evaluate how current processes and procedures are working and implement positive changes that will help it run even more efficiently, for example, bringing all Irish payroll to the Galway site to improve controls and delivery. You will project manage new payroll initiatives such as ongoing streamlining of payroll processes, integration of new technologies along with implementing new payroll policies and internal controls. You will build upon the existing suite of payroll analytics which demonstrates your team’s efficiency and provide valuable payroll insights to the senior leadership team.

The experience that will help you

To become the Senior Payroll Manager you will need experience of being a leader in a high-volume payroll environment, this experience can be from working in a large multinational company or high level management within an outsourced payroll provider. A qualification in payroll such as IPASS is also important or you could be a qualified accountant who has had responsibility for managing payroll previously.

How you will be rewarded

You will be rewarded with an overall package of between €80,000-€100,000 including a generous basic salary, annual bonus, car allowance, pension, health care cover and hybrid working of 2 days per week.
