Assistant to International Tax Director, Manufacturing Sector

A No. 2 to the International Tax Director of a €2bn global organisation, this senior tax analyst job in Galway will give you fantastic technical and business exposure in a diverse manufacturing and technology multinational, as you exercise your expertise in tax planning and advisory.

With full responsibility for tax projects end-to-end, you would have no ties to the month-end deadlines. Instead you would have full autonomy to manage your tax project deadlines as a tax business partner to multi-functional leadership teams across all regions from Europe to Asia and beyond.

The Day-to-Day of this fantastic Tax job :

A varied & influential job, you and the Tax Director will have a “seat at every table” in the business, and provide tax advise and support on strategic, commercial and operational decisions across the company, including M&As, integrations, company structures, commercial deals, Transfer pricing, BEPS Pillar II and many other business activities and transactions.

Supporting the GL Accountants, you will become their trusted tax advisor, handing technical queries relating to tax provisions and other corporation tax compliance areas to help them achieve their tasks.

As a Subject Matter Expert in the tax landscape internationally, you will be empowered to conduct research on international tax issues and legislation changes and communicate expected impacts to the wider business, including advising finance teams on tax related matters such as updates to tax compliance activities (VAT filings, corporate tax returns, tax audits and other related obligations) and ensuring the ERP system is current with tax legislation changes.

1. You are a Qualified Tax professional (CTA, IATI) seeking a move from Big 4 or any other practice to industry, or from a tax compliance to a tax planning job within industry. No previous experience in tax planning or advisory is required.

Salary & Benefits:
