This International Tax Manager job, based in Galway, is with one of the most interesting companies of a parent group that reported over $10 billion revenue in 2019.

An overview of your International Tax Manager job, Galway

As the Intl Tax Manager of this highly ambitious, innovative and rapidly growing company (over $1bn t/o globally), you will evaluate and advise on the tax implications of numerous interesting projects, and international business decisions relating to acquisitions, mergers, new markets, deal structures and company structures.

Based in EMEA HQ in Galway with circa 250 others, you will be the first point of contact for international tax issues. You will work closely with the parent company’s Head of Tax in Europe, the VP Finance in America, the local Divisional VP Finance in Galway and 5 other divisional finance VPs based globally.

Joining a company that is focused on growing rapidly through acquisitions, your initial focus will be to review, implement and manage the company’s international Transfer Pricing policy. Utilising your experience in implementing and managing transfer pricing policies (double tax treaties, varying CT and tax structures in local jurisdictions), as well as your Tax Qualifications, and experience in a Big 4 environment, you will think strategically and work independently to research, test hypotheses, arrive at conclusions and make recommendations (backed by external tax and/or legal advisors) to leadership to support business decisions.

Operationally focused, you will design and implement appropriate tax structures and refinancing for new acquisitions, you will monitor and assess the impact of international tax developments on the company’s activities, and continuously review the performance and cost effectiveness of external tax and legal advisors. You will also have ownership for the VAT and Tax audits and compliance for the company.
