*Uniquely, you can be based at their Castlebar, Co Mayo facility or their Galway City based facility, travelling one day a week to the other location. You choose the location that suits you best.

A newly created job in the company, this Head of Finance job offers you a great opportunity to make it your own. As well as meeting all financial accounting, payroll, tax and management accounting requirements for a company of 140 employees, including compliance with statutory reporting, audit and industry regulations, you will manage a small finance team and the fundraising team, with particular focus on the corporate governance element of all fundraising.

An integral part of their leadership team, you will report to their current CEO, also a qualified Chartered Accountant, and play an influential or lead role in upcoming projects including development of a new facility in Galway (€30m capital expenditure project), systems development & automation, review & development of team and organisation structures, development of corporate relationships to establish fundraising partnerships, and more.

The list is long – from a base salary of between c€80,000-100,000, regular salary increments (6% increase guaranteed this year), to flexible start-finish hours,  hybrid working conditions (3 days onsite, with flexibility to work around personal commitments when required), 30 days holidays plus 10 bank holidays, 35-hour week, subsidised canteen, pension, healthcare, access to shared office car, further-education program and a chance to work with a highly educated, top-performing management team, it has it all!

Is this job for you?

You will need to be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with PQE as a finance leader in a Small-Medium-Enterprise, have the empathy & compassion required to work in a charity organisation, have creativity and drive to continue to develop efficiencies in a rapidly changing, highly regulated environment and the desire to put your own stamp on this incredible, hardworking company of helping professionals.
