What does this strategically focused Finance Leader job offer?
This Finance Leader job offers you significant influence on strategic and business decisions for global operations, as you partner with, and provide expertise to, the VP of Global Manufacturing, Global Directors and Manufacturing Managers for 6 manufacturing sites across America, Europe and India.
Your remit:
Based in their Mayo plant, their largest site, you will be the go-to person for the Global Operations Team for financial advice & decision support. You will provide financial analyses that will drive decisions to achieve long term capacity, capabilities and cost objectives for the company globally.
A key member of the leadership team, your strong expertise in large-scale manufacturing environments will be called upon to support decisions around business development, CAPEX spend, M&A’s, Make v Buy, etc. Your expertise in planning and analysis within complex manufacturing environments will be relied on to monitor plant performances, to assist Operations Team with presentations to Board of Directors and Exec Teams and to lead the Financial Mid-year Review, Annual Plan, and Strategic Plan for Global Operations Strategic Initiatives.
Empowered with providing forecasting, financial control and analytical support for all strategic initiatives projects, your initial focus will be to provide financial leadership for the establishment of a new plant in Europe, construction of which was completed in April 2019. You will use your expertise in standard costing to develop robust product cost and performance monitoring processes, for both plant ramp-up and full operational phases, and to develop a team that will support this plant into the future.
This job is being offered initially as a 2 year contract, with possibility of being extended if both parties agree. It’s based in Co Mayo, with flexibility to work from home at least 1 day a week.
What you need to succeed:
You will be a qualified accountant with significant PQE (guideline of 8-12 years) in financial analysis and decision support roles, within a large, complex manufacturing company.
