This Financial Accountant job in Galway offers you a chance to work with a team of 30 high calibre Finance Managers, Accountants and finance professionals in the shared service centre (SSC) of a leading multinational company.

Why has this job been created?

The company recently doubled in size due to a major acquisition, thus the International Finance Manager is seeking two additional Financial Accountants to join on a contract basis until 31st Jan 2022. While its not guaranteed, there is a possibility that this job will continue past its initial contract date.

Its Galway location is the international centre of excellence for finance, supporting 30 entities, with an additional 20 entities to be integrated in the coming months. Your New Job:

Part of the International Accounting team, your broad and diverse job will include managing the full financial accounting and reporting of a number of international entities, including month-end reporting, statutory and tax accounting in accordance with local and US GAAP requirements. As the finance expert on US GAAP, IFRS and related queries for your entities, you will drive local elements of international projects and initiate process improvements across all areas of finance. You will also assist in integrating the new entities to the SSC, including implementing the SAP ERP system to the acquired entities.

Is this job for you?

If you are a Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) with an audit background, and 0 – 5 years’ experience in financial accounting or GL activities for an international organisation (either through your multinational client base in practice or directly from industry) we would like to talk to you. Exposure to Shared Service Centre environment and working knowledge of a major ERP System (SAP, Oracle, etc.) is desirable but not necessary. Newly qualified accountants from Big 4 or Top 10 practice will be highly regarded for this job.
