On promotion, you will hold the Finance Leader position on the Senior Management Team for their rapidly growing, international business. Teaming up with the Managing Director & the Design Manager, your financial expertise will be trusted to lead financial operations, and to influence the strategic & commercial direction of their highly successful manufacturing engineering company of over 100 staff in Galway.

What will your Financial Controller job entail?

Key to your success as Finance Leader will be in providing sound financial data & on-point analysis to support decisions in project pricing, make v buy, capital investments and other key decisions to ensure the continued success of the company. A Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with strong analytical skills and excellent commercial acumen, you will utilise your experience in management and financial accounting in a manufacturing environment to manage budgets & forecasts, funding, grants, audits & revenue returns, healthcare & pension schemes. You will lead junior team members involved in AP, AR & payroll.

Working in an open door culture, you will acquire an in-depth knowledge of the business to support leaders in Supply Chain, Production, Engineering, Customer Operations & HR, ensuring you maintain and enhance the Company’s positive, collaborative & commercially astute working environment.

A long-established, privately-owned international company that is in transition phase to the next generation, my client is thriving within their fast-paced market, growing their Irish business by 50% since 2020. Supplying to companies that are investing tens of billions in capital expenditure, their products are used in the world’s largest data centres, production plants & power production facilities across the globe. Their Galway factory has further plans to expand their facilities by up to 50% in the coming years, plans which you will play a pivotal role in as their finance leader.

Location: Based onsite 5 days a week, this job is easily commutable from all parts of counties Galway, Mayo, Roscommon, parts of Co Sligo and Athlone/Westmeath.
