This excellent Financial Controller Ireland job in Galway is the No. 1 Finance position for 2 sites in Ireland, in a global organisation of c45,000 staff world-wide. Part of the corporation’s specialised business that has 5 sites across the EMEA region, you will lead their largest and most strategic manufacturing business within this region.
Finance Leader Ireland:
Based in Galway, you will be part of the senior leadership team in Ireland, and will business partner to the Operations Leader Ireland and their senior leadership team (Manufacturing, Engineering, Materials, OPEX, HR, Procurement), to provide finance expertise & guidance on operational and strategic direction, to drive better business results and operating efficiencies.
Regional exposure:
A highly visible and strategic role in the organisation, you will report to the EMEA Finance Leader and represent Ireland on the EMEA Senior Finance Leadership Team. You will also liaise with the EMEA VP Finance and work with the Operations Leader for EMEA on regional wide initiatives.
Your Job in Detail:
Coaching and developing a senior finance team of 5 staff, you will lead all financial analysis and reporting activities, including budgeting, planning, special requests and associated commentary, to drive cost reductions and ensure forecasted cost reductions impact on operating income. Using Lean Six Sigma tools, you will lead cost improvement initiatives across Ireland, including financial processes improvements such as automation & robotics, increased efficiencies in data analysis, and elimination of non-value added work.
As part of their continued success and future growth, you will provide business analysis & costings for new product development projects and business growth opportunities, and make recommendations to management. You will also advise on the capability for the organisation, including special studies and major investment evaluation.
