If you are an experienced Finance Manager or Financial Controller in the Galway / Mayo region, with about 7+ years PQE and seeking that coveted No.1 Finance position in a growing international organisation, this is the ideal job for you. 

This hands-on Head of Finance job on the border of County Mayo & County Galway offers you complete oversight of a successful international manufacturing business. Sitting on their Senior Management Team (SMT), you will provide full financial control, reporting and analysis of the company’s performance across the 5 business units of this highly impressive Irish-owned organisation.

Key to your success will be your ability to utilise your ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountancy qualification, and your proven experience to constructively challenge and add value to the decisions being taken in a manufacturing environment.

A rewarding Head of Finance job with autonomy and influence:

In this broad Head of Finance job, you will have full charge of all budgeting & forecasting, including setting targets, measuring actual vs. budget, forecasting & reforecasting. You will develop and manage accurate and effective product costing models and provide detailed analysis of product costings. You will also provide full month end reporting and analysis, monthly P&Ls, performance analysis, profitability & variances analysis.

As the finance expert on the SMT, you will work closely with the business owners to optimise their extensive working capital expenditure programme and provide sound financial advice on decisions around commercial pricing, identifying new business opportunities, the export markets and tendering process, investment & acquisitions appraisals. In addition to the strategic elements of this job you will also manage the day-to-day financial operations including AR,  AP, payroll, tax, bank & cash, FX, intercompany, inventory, liaison with auditors, grant applications and R&D Tax Credits claims among other responsibilities.

An influential leader in the business, you will encourage a culture of cost control in the Procurement function, as well as developing robust spend reporting & controls processes. You will also drive Continuous Improvement processes across the business internationally.
