Company Growing 3-fold by 2026 – Manufacturing Sector – Commutable from County Galway, County Mayo or County Roscommon – No previous manufacturing sector experience required

My client is a $16bn global organisation spread across 30 countries, with almost 200 manufacturing facilities worldwide. Their Irish operation in County Galway is seeking a career-driven Qualified Accountant to support the New Business team in their site of 800 staff.

Your job as Financial Analyst for New Business Projects

Working under the direction of the PL Management Control Manager and the R&D Director, you will have responsibility for validating new business costs.  You will liaise with each department involved, validating the quotation of new projects to customers and support Operations in building new business cases.   You will consolidate project performance reviews (costing progress, budget, resources) , benchmarking and standardizing costings.  By maintaining a standard tool to monitor project performance, you will provide regular project evolution to the management (variance vs budget, month N-1 on all P&L and activity analysis lines). You will also monitor the customer contributions & revenues related to specific projects.

Other tasks will include:

  1. Support R&D and Finance teams with funding & grant submissions
  2. Monitor profitability by product stages & technologies
  3. Perform Business Case reviews
  4. Review P1 Profitability
  5. Benchmarking & standardization of costings

What you need for this exciting job:

If you are a recently Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA) who is eager to learn and develop rapidly in the manufacturing sector, this is an excellent opportunity for you. You will be an analytical individual who is commercially focused and seeking more exposure to R&D and strategic business decisions. A people person with strong analytical skills, you will be comfortable working under your own direction and having the autonomy to make decisions, in a highly innovative and exciting industrial manufacturing environment.

Galway/Home Hybrid: The company envisage a 3 days onsite / 2 days at home arrangement, which may suit candidates travelling from Co Roscommon, County Mayo or any part of County Galway.
