This Senior Financial Accountant/Finance Business Partner job in County Mayo empowers you with real autonomy to own the finance function of the global distribution entity in a large multinational company. Location: Mayo/Home Hybrid: company envisage a 3 days / 2 days arrangement, which may suit candidates travelling from Co Sligo, Co Roscommon as well as all parts of County Mayo.

Hybrid Working Model:  This job offers a 3 days onsite, 2 days work-from-home model, which may suit candidates travelling from Co Clare, Co Mayo, County Westmeath, Co Roscommon as well as all parts of Galway.

A summary of your new job:

This job has arisen due to internal promotion. An interesting job that offers you variety and influence, you will be the Senior Accountant for the company’s Distribution Centre entity (a multi-million dollar global entity registered in Ireland). Suited to your high standards of training gained in Big 4, Top 10 or an international environment, this is a truly diverse job in financial and management accounting including US GAAP reporting, transfer pricing, AR, Revenue/Tax, Treasury & FX forecasting, Inventory management, Annual Operating Planning & variance analysis, ERP system testing, Continuous Improvements Projects and Staff Management, with excellent support networks in a medium sized, highly competent finance team. Suits a Qualified Accountant with about 2-5 yrs PQE seeking career advancement.

Job details:
As the Senior Financial Accountant for the Distribution Centre entity, your job will focus on inventory control for multiple sites across Europe, Australia and South America. You will work with the management team to establish performance KPIs and to manage risk of obsolete stock effectively.

You will provide financial analysis expertise in the areas of planning, forecasting, variance analysis and cash-flow management, playing a key role in preparing the Annual Operation Plan (AOP) for the entity, recording monthly performance metrics and explaining variances. You will also take ownership of the treasury activities, controlling & forecasting cash-flow movements and ensuring management of FX exposures.

Your financial accounting responsibilities will include month end close (US GAAP compliant), revenue returns, collections & creditor control (including supervising 1 staff member) and audit compliance activities for the distribution centre entity.
Other elements to your job will include coordinating transfer pricing activities for 50+ entities globally (ensuring compliance with tax guidelines in each jurisdiction), participating and leading continuous improvement projects and managing local SAP system testing for your entity.

What you need to succeed:
You will excel in this job if you are a progressive, self-reliant Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA), who enjoys jobs that offer autonomy and creativity to succeed. You will have strong interpersonal skills to manage relationships in multiple sites and solid understanding of financial planning & analysis and inventory accounting preferably from your experience in a multinational company or through your client base from your Big 4/Top 10 training.
