This broad based Financial Accountant job in Mayo gives you a blend of financial accounting, reporting and business operations exposure in a multinational company environment that has maintained its people orientated culture. Commutable from counties Galway, Sligo and Roscommon, you will work in an award winning company who are growing organically and through acquisitions making this a suitable next career step for you if you have qualified in audit or in industry in the past 1-5 years.
As the Financial Accountant you will have ownership at month-end over a number of international entities with distribution centre, sales and customer service operations within these entities where you will prepare and post journals, complete reconciliations and ensure the P&L and Balance Sheet are up-to-date. You will monitor inventory provisions and investigate variances versus budget as well as provide commentary on the distribution centre performance. You’ll develop your financial analysis skills through cashflow forecasting for your entities and forecasting sales revenue. There will be ample opportunities to dive into other areas such as CAPEX proposal drafting and reviews, new acquisition integration and ongoing process improvement projects.

To become the Financial Accountant you will need a professional accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) obtained in Big 4 audit or in an international company in industry. This is an ideal first or second job post qualification where you can progress your career in this large finance team.
