Join one of the fastest growing medical device companies in Galway as a Financial Accountant and develop your budgeting, forecasting, sales projections and cost accounting skills.

Manufacturing finance exposure

This is no ordinary Financial Accountant job because in addition to financial statements preparation, month-end close and external audit management you will:

  • Prepare the annual budget and complete periodic re-forecasting throughout the year
  • Assign standard costs to materials and complete purchase price variance analysis (PPV) monthly
  • Business partner with operations and SG&A departments on their budgets
  • Complete sales forecasts in conjunction with the internationally based Commercial team
  • Analyse business activities and prepare the R&D tax credit submission

This medical device manufacturing company has its R&D, Quality, Production departments and corporate head office in Galway with a very successful sales team based in the US who sell their FDA approved device to distributors and end-users. The company is entrepreneurial, dynamic and rapidly growing where you can take what you know from the multinational sector and implement it here while you deepen your finance expertise at the same time in areas such as financial analysis and cost accounting.

You will work alongside the Financial Controller and CFO daily, the Financial Controller comes from some of the world’s largest manufacturing companies and brings best-in-class technical knowledge and a process improvement mindset where they are eager to hear and implement your ideas on how to do things effectively.

The package on offer is €60,000-€70,000 including base salary, bonus, company pension contributions, hybrid working, health insurance cover, sick pay scheme and cycle to work scheme.

To become the Financial Accountant you will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with experience in financial statements and management accounts preparation and a desire to broaden your skills in other areas of manufacturing finance.
