Work life balance and career progression in a multinational environment

Our innovative US tech multinational client has an exciting Financial Accountant job opportunity to join their 50 plus person finance team in Galway. With 3 days working from home a week, this job is easily commutable from Mayo, Roscommon, Sligo, Clare and Offaly with flexible start and finish times daily. If you are a Newly Qualified Accountant, ideally from Big 4, who values work-life balance, career progression opportunities and you want to get experience in a recognised multinational brand name then this opportunity is ideal for you.

The expertise you will gain

With no month-end your work day-to-day will involve ensuring revenue generated from multi-million euro worth contracts is accurately accounted for in accordance with US GAAP requirements. You will work with non-financial leaders to advise on contract formation and how best to maximise returns from 1-5 year subscriptions for this company’s services. You will experience first-hand SOX compliance and additional internal controls, often working with internal and external auditors. At quarter-end you will post journals to the general ledger and you will review the balance sheet to ensure accuracy of its contents and report on significant changes. Upper management will rely on a suite of reports from you after quarter-end such as flux analysis and indirect reserves which will inform their decision making.

How you will be rewarded

You will receive a well-rounded package of between €70,000-€75,000 including base salary, annual bonus, work from home 3 days per week, health insurance for you and any dependents, company pension contributions, life assurance and acquired disability income protection. Allied to this are flexible start and finish times daily, ample career progression opportunities to Finance Manager and Financial Controller level given the team size and excellent systems training provided by a dedicated automation sub-team in Finance.

What you will need to succeed

You will need to be a Newly Qualified Accountant in the last 3 years, ideally from one of the Big 4 accounting firms. Excellent relationship building and teamwork skills are valued by the hiring manager also.
