As the Lead Financial Accountant you will join an established Finance team within a growing multinational medical device company in Co. Roscommon. This multinational organisation has an ambitious growth plan to be a multi-billion euro turnover business which will create opportunities for career progression and project work. Your new job:

Commutable also from Sligo, Leitrim, Longford and North Mayo, in this Lead Financial Accountant job you will work closely with an onsite team of accountants, Financial Controller and Site Manager to deliver quality financial support and insights. You will also gain exposure to department heads in the United States as well as gaining managerial experience managing a small accounting team. You will have autonomy over:

  1. Managing the preparation and completion of monthly management accounts
  2. Review subsidiary financial reporting processes to ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal accounting policies
  3. Manage the external auditing process
  4. Manage and assist with R&D tax credits, annual tax returns and completion of annual statutory financial statements
  5. Manage and assist with co-ordination of payroll processes, accounts receivable collection processes and accounts payable payment processes

What you will need to succeed:

  1. Professional accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA)
  2. Demonstrable experience in a multinational, manufacturing environment is a major advantage
  3. Experience managing onsite audits with external auditors
  4. An aptitude for people management, prior experience is not necessary
