This complex and challenging Finance Manager job in Galway sits in the FP&A team of a prestigious $10bn multinational manufacturing company.

1. Variety, challenge and influence in your job: No.2 to the Head of FP&A, you will be a trusted financial advisor to this large, multifaceted R&D and manufacturing site. A go-to for the FP&A team, you will assist in managing the site’s month end activities, quarterly FP&A forecast and annual operating plan (AOP) process for the entire Galway site.
You will also be the Champion for Continuous Improvement (CI) in the finance function. Tasked with ensuring a CI mind-set in the finance function, you will lead change & drive improvements both within Finance & across the business.
And as Finance Business Partner to key support functions (IT, HR, Facilities), you will support them with financial performance, budgets & forecasts, cost centre spend, capital investments appraisals, strategic business decisions and site-wide cost improvement programs.

This job is offering a hybrid working model, allowing you to work 3 days onsite in Galway and 2 days from home.

While experience in manufacturing would be nice to have, it’s not important. What we are looking for is an independent, self-starter, with strong attention to detail & a continuous improvement mind-set! A Finance Manager or Senior Financial Analyst (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with c7+ years PQE, you will have proven ability to provide detailed financial analysis while also seeing the bigger picture. Coming from a large-scale global organisation, you will have proven experience to drive process & systems improvements across all areas of finance.
