The opportunity of this Finance Manager job in Athlone, Co Westmeath:
Based in Athlone, Co Westmeath, you will become the Finance Manager of Global Quality for this $1.8bn multinational. You will partner with the VP of Quality to manage the Quality spend globally and become the Finance Business Partner on all quality projects in both manufacturing and R&D. As Finance Manager, you will drive cost improvement initiatives in Quality and provide support on the strategic objectives of the group.

Your job as Finance Manager of Global Quality:

Reporting to the Finance Director of Global Logistics and Distribution in Athlone, you will become the Finance Lead for Quality with ultimate responsibility for managing all spend associated with the quality function globally. You will monitor global bookings and ensure all spend is consistent with corporate policy and industry regulations. You will work closely with the Quality Team to understand the true cost of quality, including accruals linked to product recalls, and the quality reserve requirements for each year.
As a Finance Manager in the company, you will consolidate global financials for the quality group, delivering the AOP, budget ‘v’ actuals reporting and forecast updates as per the corporate schedule, including all associated commentary and analysis.
Using your established Project Management abilities and your proven relationship management skills, you will develop strong rapport with global business partners, VP of Quality, functional managers and project managers to analyse costs, manage spend and track results of existing projects. Your strategic, analytical and conceptual skills will be called upon to provide scenario analysis and business case support to upcoming projects, and again when participating in monthly Material Review Board meetings and Project Steering Committee meetings.

Apart from the support you will receive from your direct manager, you will also have access locally to the Global FD of FP&A, the FD of International Manufacturing, the Associate Director of Procurement for Finance and three other Finance Business Partners. Working with this team of finance executives, you will have every opportunity to develop to your full potential.

What you’ll need to succeed:

To be successful in this position, you will utilise your accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA), your business partnering experience in a global environment, and your working knowledge of operations and supply chain processes, such as procurement, warehousing, inventory control, logistics, delivery of finished goods and customer service.

Your reward:
