Take the reins as the No.1 finance leader onsite with an international company in the medical device manufacturing industry

This is your opportunity to take full site controllership and financial planning ownership as the Finance Manager in Galway. Easily commutable from Mayo, Roscommon and Clare, you will report to the Site General Manager where you will have full visibility with senior directors where you can influence decisions while having a direct reporting line to the Finance Director at their overseas HQ.

Finance Manager responsibilities

Having been recently acquired by a multinational company, what were previously outsourced areas of finance such as payroll will now be brought in-house and over the coming years you will get to build out a team underneath you as the company continues to grow. Among your responsibilities will include:

  • Implement and manage annual and long-term budgeting, forecasting and commercial performance analysis processes
  • Complete month-end accounts preparation, management reporting and statutory obligations
  • Manage the standard costings process, reporting monthly on PPV and work with operational leaders to drive efficiencies
  • Act as a business partner to non-finance teams on managing their budget, tender proposals for new business and capital expenditure projects
  • Transition outsourced services such as payroll in-house and streamline AP, AR and other transactional processes

This company has a robust business model rooted in medical device R&D and automation activities counting world-leading medical device companies among their customers. Owned by a major international group, the Galway site will continue to receive further investment due to its strong reputation for delivery.

The package on offer is €90,000-€95,000 including base salary, bonus, company pension contributions, hybrid working, health insurance cover, sick pay scheme and cycle to work scheme.

To become the Finance Manager you will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with experience in a manufacturing company from industries such as medical device, pharma, FMCG or automotive.
