My client is a $16bn global organisation spread across 30 countries, with almost 200 manufacturing facilities worldwide. Their Irish operation in County Galway is seeking a Finance Manager for Operations & FP&A to support the manufacturing operations of approximately 400 staff.
Promotion to Site Financial Controller:
This Finance Operations Manager job in Galway uniquely offers you an excellent opportunity to progress to the Site Financial Controller position. Working under the direction of the current Site FC, you will be their second in command and their natural successor, in a company that is focused on internal promotion.
You will lead a team of 4 finance staff and you will act as business partner to the manufacturing entity in County Galway. As the Operations Finance Manager and No. 2 to the Site Controller, you will lead the entity’s through a site transformation project as they meet their growth targets for 2026. Supporting the Site Leadership Team to achieve their growth targets, you will be challenged with reducing the site’s overhead costs, automating processes, improving systems, increasing energy efficiencies and upgrading machinery & site facilities at a 0% impact on profits.
You will also ensure the Galway site’s Operations/FP&A finance team continuously works to best practice. You will lead campaigns to test and assess the finance function’s compliance with the corporation’s internal controls and ensure all finance tasks are up-to-date with current best practice procedures.
What you need for this exciting job:
To succeed in this job as Finance Manager Operations, you will bring a full accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), finance leadership experience from the manufacturing sector and a desire to be promoted to Site Financial Controller in the near future.
