The Opportunity for the Financial Controller – Manufacturing in Longford

This Finance Business Partner job in Longford offers an excellent chance to an ambitious and driven Senior Financial Analyst or Finance Manager to gain operational and commercial insight into a young, highly automated, world-class manufacturing environment.

Empowered with preparing financial analysis and accurate forecasting to support manufacturing and business decisions, you will work hand-in-hand with the Operations Director, and enjoy the encouragement and support of a charismatic, warm and highly knowledgeable Finance Director.

Your new job

In your job as Finance Business Partner to Manufacturing, you will support two production plants in Longford, reporting on and analysing:

1. sales and margin figures, production and labour costs, inventory cost and obsolete stock values, actual v standard, spend, forecasting, budget management and all month end related activities.

A Finance Leader in operations, you will coach and mentor one management accountant, and use your finance expertise and commercial acumen to provide insight into operational performance and support decisions. You will drive programmes in cost reduction, and instil a culture of cost control across the business.

Alongside the Financial Accounting Manager and the Finance Director, you will participate / lead projects in systems implementations and improvements, as well as initiatives to increase the “value-add” factor of the finance function to the commercial and operations teams in the company.

What you’ll need to succeed:

As a relatively new company that reward highly driven professionals, my client is interested in hiring an energetic Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) at the earlier stages of their career (approx 3-8 years PQE), who will develop further with the company as they expand into new markets and regions.

If you are a self-starter, who has proven skills in financial analysis and management accounting from your PQE in industry, (preferably in the manufacturing or distribution sectors), you will be highly successful in this job.

Analytically minded and possessing strong MS Excel & IT skills, you will have the ability to provide timely and accurate reporting and analysis to the functional heads, as well as strong interpersonal skills to liaise with various stakeholders at senior management level.
