This Finance Manager job in Galway will be of interest to you if you are a Senior Financial Analyst looking to get medical device manufacturing experience as well as managerial exposure, or you could be an established Financial Controller who wants to manage a number of projects while overseeing site finance operations for this 6-month contract.

As Finance Manager you will:

Lead the site annual budget formation process from September-November working with corporate HQ in the US and local heads of departments to create spending parameters and cost saving initiatives for 2027
Business partner with the site General Manager on financial analysis of costs, revenue and capital expenditure projects
Manage the month-end close process mentoring and approving the work of a team of three qualified and part-qualified employees
Prepare and present management reporting packs monthly
Drive a number of finance related projects including the upgrade of the ERP system

With a site turnover of €25m driven by R&D and production activities, you’ll enjoy the personable and friendly atmosphere that exists where leaders are accessible and everyone has an open door policy. There is significant investment into improving processes through automation with a dedicated continuous improvement team onsite to assist each department. Having been acquired by a global group in the past decade the integration work continues as processes and systems are merged and you will drive this from a finance perspective.

The package is up to €100,000, pro rata for this 6 month contract, with a competitive base salary and completion bonus.

You will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with financial analysis experience from any industry, ideally from within a medium to large sized company.
