The purpose of this newly created Finance Business Partner/FP&A Accountant job in Galway is to project manage the integration of a newly acquired manufacturing business of over €100m t/o, and thereafter become the “go-to” expert for all finance related activities & decisions for this new business area.

This Finance Business Partner (FBP) job, which sits on the financial analyst team, suits a Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with approx 3+ years PQE in Galway. It uniquely offers you full autonomy on decisions to create a successful & empathic integration plan, using your existing financial or GL accounting experience to direct, guide and support the acquired finance team on the necessary changes to their month-end processes.

You will simultaneously grow your skills in financial analysis, project support, leadership, acquisition & integration accounting within an international manufacturing finance team.  It also allows you to move away from the month-end deadlines and schedules that so often cut into your work-life balance goals. And finally it could offer you your first move into the manufacturing sector, as no previous manufacturing sector experience is required.

Reporting to the BU Global Finance Director, with direct access to the Global VP Finance, you will be given autonomy for:

  1. Assisting with the integration processes for new acquisitions and advise management on risks within acquisition entities and mitigations.
  2. Preparation of forecasts, budgets and consolidation for acquisitions.
  3. Provision of input on local finance policies and procedures ensuring ongoing compliance for all accounting and finance operations.
  4. Support of the monthly and quarterly financial reporting cycle in accordance with IFRS including preparation, analysis and posting of journals, monthly accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations
  5. Review and reconciliation of inter-company accounts, as well as multi-currency bank reconciliations and related variance analysis.
  6. Participate in, or lead other ad-hoc projects

Once the integration project is fully complete, you will support the Business Area’s finance, management & operational teams on all operational, commercial and strategic decisions.

Base salary will be offered at approximately €65,000 – 70,000
